About the role

As a Continuous Improvement Leader within our STANLEY® Engineered Fastening (SEF) team, you will direct, administer, and coordinate manufacturing activities to support organizational goals. This onsite role in Elyria, OH ensures efficient use of personnel, equipment, and resources while maintaining compliance with OSHA and plant safety policies. You will develop budgets, mentor direct reports, manage projects, and oversee all phases of manufacturing operations to enhance profitability and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate activities to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure safety compliance with OSHA and plant policies.
  • Maximize efficient use of direct personnel, manufacturing equipment, and indirect operations personnel.
  • Monitor production and utilization levels, addressing variances to improve performance.
  • Develop budgets to meet financial business goals.
  • Provide performance planning, mentorship, and feedback to direct reports.
  • Manage large projects and multiple smaller projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Participate in employee involvement activities.
  • Oversee all manufacturing activities, including building maintenance and personnel management.
  • Share responsibility with Engineering, EHS, Quality, and Manufacturing teams for safety, equipment purchases, tool/plant/product design, and associated processes.
  • Demonstrate agility to work across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management, or engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a Controls Engineering manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, safety, and quality practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven budget management skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in developing and managing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities successfully.
  • Prior experience with Lean principles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $77,600.00 - $124,900.00 annually. The salary offered may vary based on job level, geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Eligible employees may receive annual merit increases.
