Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

Hexagon Agility, a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions, is driving the energy transformation in the transport sector. Our technology enables hard-to-decarbonize segments—such as trucks and buses—to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives. We are seeking an ambitious Continuous Improvement Engineer to work closely with our team in Salisbury, NC, playing a critical role in reducing CO₂ emissions and combating climate change.

Responsibilities

• Work with enterprise business areas at the operational and corporate level to drive process improvements, compliance standards, and strategies for consistent, repeatable, and flawless execution.
• Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to streamline processes and create a sustainable, lean organization.
• Analyze ambiguous problems using lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S, and other methodologies.
• Manage and lead multiple Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering projects with minimal oversight.
• Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State.
• Lead Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous Improvement activities, ensuring projects are completed on budget and within timelines.
• Conduct time studies, develop and document work standards, and maximize line balancing to optimize workflow, throughput, and productivity.
• Develop and implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing to track process improvements and cost reductions.
• Establish standards for process confirmation using sustainable problem-solving techniques.
• Support and execute training focused on lean manufacturing techniques.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree in a related Engineering field or MBA preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing process design and continuous improvement.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, or flammable mixtures. The noise level is usually moderate.
