About the role
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a crucial role in Excellerate, a company dedicated to innovation in construction, engineering, manufacturing, and renewable energy. This position is part of the Continuous Improvement Team and focuses on fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Strive to become a technical expert in Lean Manufacturing tools and principles such as 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Kaizen, A3, Root Cause Analysis, and Mistake Proofing.
- Participate in the development of the CI Plan to establish and promote a Continuous Improvement culture across Excellerate.
- Support the CI Team and all Excellerate-wide Continuous Improvement activities.
- Identify and quantify potential opportunities for improvement in all facilities and departments, and implement solutions that yield measurable results.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across facilities and departments.
- Assist in Kaizen events and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Develop educational materials to disseminate Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools throughout the organization.
- Provide coaching through hands-on facilitation and demonstration of Lean tools.
- Monitor and measure the progress of process improvement initiatives, tracking key metrics, and reporting on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Build trust within the organization through direct engagement, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
- Facilitate Process Flow and Process Mapping activities and serve as a mentor to train new team members in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1-2 years working in a lean process.
- Travel: 10-25% based on company need.
- Work Schedule: Between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. Overtime may be required.
