Roles and Responsibilities

Lead or participate in continuous improvement (CI) events throughout the facility to help improve processes.

Help implement process improvement activities throughout the facility.

Identifies potential CI events.

Verifies the effectiveness of process improvements.

Supports the lean intern program.

Supports and participates in safety & environmental efforts to better serve employees and the community.

Ensures continuous communication occurs between employees, management, support staff, other KI divisions, and customers as necessary.

Identifies and implements potential cost reductions.

Supports and role models Vision and Guiding Principles.

Follows all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Works flexible hours.

Prior experience working on continuous improvement efforts within a team is preferred.

Understands statistical techniques.

Able to safely operate and maneuver required tools and equipment during projects.

Educational Requirements

Previous manufacturing experience.

Successful completion of Lean Internship.
