Operations
The ideal candidate will have experience with general building maintenance, basic troubleshooting of mechanical/plumbing/electrical systems, and the installation of new workstations & workflows.
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs
- Execute daily facility maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and drywall/structural repairs.
- Compliance & Safety Testing
- Perform and log mandatory safety and utility checks, including the monthly electric fire pump operational "run tests" to ensure strict local fire marshal and NFPA 25 compliance.
- Space & Inventory Coordination
- Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized physical environment. Help organize materials, coordinate waste/recycling management, and assist with spatial layout transitions.
- Vendor & Contractor Support
- Cook up with, escort, and document visits from external commercial mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection contractors.
- Problem-Solving & Safety Auditing
- Routinely inspect the building envelope, identify safety hazards or operational inefficiencies, and implement process/facility improvements.
- Facility Upkeep
- Ensure building facilities are in top-shape for our employees and visitors through waste management, inspections, and janitorial services.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a passion for multi-trade hands-on work and physical problem-solving.
- High attention to detail with the ability to systematically maintain and organize physical compliance folders for municipal inspectors.
- Previous experience in light commercial property maintenance, building trades, warehousing, or facilities support is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage unpredictable facility work orders alongside recurring compliance testing schedules.
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, move heavy equipment, and work comfortably in mechanical/utility rooms as required.
