Continuing Education - Conversational Spanish Instructor

Essential Duties

• Create courses aligned with learning outcomes to enhance student engagement in learning processes.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to develop conversational skills among students.
• Encourage students to set and achieve their academic, personal, and career goals in Spanish.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administration in both Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Native fluency or equivalent education in Spanish.
• Experience teaching Spanish, either in-person or online, is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with a diverse student body.
• Knowledge of Brightspace is preferred but not required.
• Able to teach a variety of proficiency levels in Spanish.
• A commitment to the mission of providing open access to education.

Additional Information

Starting pay: $40.00 per contact hour.
