Summary/Objective

The Contents Cleaning Technician will work in conjunction with other emergency service technicians, carpenters, painters, laborers, and subcontractors. This position provides cleaning services resultant from Water, Mold Remediation, Fire, Smoke damage, Carpet, Upholstery cleaning, and Biohazard, including clean-up work, pack in and pack out services.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the inventorying of contents including monitoring affiliates and company employees on your projects. Create a complete inventory of restored and non-restorable items.
  • Manage the cleaning of contents both on and off site.
  • Set up workstations, including assembling boxes, assist in identifying damaged items, gather, sort, pack affected contents, clean and process affected contents.
  • Confirm cleaning methods and solutions required to effectively clean and/or deodorize the content(s) (degreaser, multipurpose, disinfectant, furniture polish, HEPA vacuuming, Hydroxyl / Ozone, etc.).
  • Follow cleaning protocols for ultrasonic, laundry, wood furniture, odell electronics cleaning, and leather.
  • Maintain the appearance and operation of personal and company tools as well as the company vehicle.
  • Adhere to material safety data recognize standards.

Job Requirements

  • Required to use a variety of specialized equipment and cleaning chemicals under supervision.
  • Available for on-call duties as scheduled or requested. Must be available for extended work hours as required.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to perform physical work on a consistent basis
  • Satisfactory background check

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to soot, mold, fire carcinogens, and ozone.
  • Exposure to strong cleaning agent odors.

Physical Demands

  • The employee is frequently required to lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
  • The employee is frequently required to crawl, bend and stoop, and frequently
  • Employees may be required to climb a step stool.
