About the role
Orion STEM Schools is seeking a Content Writer – Training, Onboarding & Storytelling expert to help bring the Orion Way to life for our employees and families. This role is ideal for a strong writer and storyteller who can understand complex research and prior work, and turn educational philosophy, culture, processes, and expectations into clear, engaging, and memorable onboarding and training experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging employee and parent onboarding content that communicates the Orion Way.
- Translate complex ideas into simple, human-centered stories and learning experiences.
- Write scripts and content for training videos, LMS modules, presentations, guides, playbooks and microlearning.
- Apply Storytelling for Influence principles to make ideas memorable and inspire action.
- Interview founders, educators and subject-matter experts and transform their knowledge into compelling content.
- Maintain a consistent Orion voice across training and onboarding materials.
- Partner with our education, experience design, HR and technology teams to build scalable onboarding journeys.
What We’re Looking For
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to write with clarity, warmth, empathy and influence.
- Experience creating training, learning, onboarding or educational content.
- Strong ability to simplify complex concepts without losing meaning.
- Comfortable writing for multiple audiences, particularly employees and parents.
- Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
- Bonus: Experience with instructional design, LMS content, education, learning & development, video scripting, UX writing or organizational culture.
