Within Amazon MGM Studios, the TV Strategy team is seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to join as a Content Strategy Manager in Culver City, CA. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the future of Amazon MGM Studios by helping define and execute on our Content Strategy for Original Series on Prime Video.

About the role

This role focuses on performance tracking, content valuation, and facilitating Original Series greenlight and renewal decisions. You will identify key drivers of title performance, build recommendations for investment decisions, and optimize the overall content portfolio to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Additionally, you will help manage improvements to content valuation frameworks, deliver deep analytical insights about the content portfolio, and lead broad strategy workstreams.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across creative development, production, business affairs, finance, programming, and marketing functions, earning trust and communicating effectively with this audience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Prime Video viewership data to surface insights that inform senior leadership decisions on content strategy and investment.
  • Lead evaluation of Original Series under consideration for greenlight and renewal, synthesizing creative context, financial models, and strategic fit.
  • Serve as a knowledge center and champion of improvements in economic modeling, performance forecasting, and reporting frameworks, continuously evolving internal tools and methodologies to sharpen decision-making and improve team efficiency.
  • Author high-impact strategy documents that shape the direction of Prime Video’s Series slate, including recommendations on slate planning, content investments, new business models, and 'think big' opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading high-impact projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Highly proficient in Excel; knowledge of SQL is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in television or film content strategy, or in a similar fast-paced, high-impact role in the media and entertainment industry.
  • Passion for television and the business of entertainment.
  • Meets or exceeds Amazon's leadership principles and functional/technical depth requirements for this role.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $80,300 - $140,500 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
