Content Specialist - Product Marketing Content Specialist
- for lists, and
for prose. We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. We need to not include Job ID etc. We need to remove boilerplate: EEO, drug-free workplace, fraud alert, privacy policy, etc. We need to keep compensation details and mention of bonuses/commissions and benefits link. We need to keep "As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions." and "For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please click here." That's benefits. We need to keep Salary Ranges. We need to keep "Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law." That's pay info. We need to keep "Preferred Skills" list. We need to keep "Job Specifications Typically Has The Following Skills Or Abilities" list. We need to keep the initial description as responsibilities. We might also have an "About the role" section: maybe a brief overview? The posting doesn't have a separate "About the role" heading; but we could create one from the first paragraph? However instructions: "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text". We could treat the initial paragraph as "About the role" if we consider it a summary. But the instructions say "Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it)". It doesn't forbid creating an About the role section if there is content. The initial paragraph is indeed about the role. So we could put that as About the role. But we also have responsibilities list; maybe we could split: About the role = overview; Responsibilities = detailed list. However the initial paragraph already contains many responsibilities. To avoid duplication, we could treat the initial paragraph as About the role, and then responsibilities as a list derived from the same sentences? But that would duplicate content. The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." If we split, we might lose some detail if we only put some in About and some in Responsibilities. Better to keep all responsibilities in one section, maybe Responsibilities. And we could omit About the role if no distinct summary besides responsibilities. However the instructions say "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could have just Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay. That's six sections. But we need to decide what goes where. Let's map: - Responsibilities: the big paragraph describing duties. - Requirements: maybe the "Job Specifications Typically Has The Following Skills Or Abilities" list (which includes education, experience, abilities). That could be Requirements. - Qualifications: maybe the same as Requirements? But we need to differentiate? The posting lumps education, experience, abilities under Job Specifications. Could treat that as Qualifications. But we need both Requirements and Qualifications sections only if there is distinct content. Since we have only one block, we could put it under Qualifications (or Requirements). To avoid thin sections, we could combine them into one section called "Qualifications & Requirements". But headings must be from the list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We cannot create custom headings. So we need to pick either Requirements or Qualifications. Which is more appropriate? The block includes "Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience", "2+ years of experience", "Portfolio of work", "Demonstrated ability to use creative ideas...", "Demonstrated project management...", "Excellent verbal communication skills...", "Strong writing, editing...", "Ability to organize individual responsibilities...", "Proficiency with word processing...", "Excellent interpersonal skills...", "Regularly exercise discretion...", "Ability to work with individuals from all levels...", "Proficient in word processing and desktop publishing applications". That's a mix of education, experience, skills, abilities. Could be considered Qualifications. Requirements often refer to mandatory qualifications. So we could put that under Qualifications. - Preferred Skills: separate list under Preferred Skills heading. That could go under Skills section. - Benefits: mention of eligible bonuses and commissions, and link to benefits. Could be Benefits. - Pay: salary range and note about determination. - Schedule: not mentioned, omit. - About the role: we could optionally include a short summary from the first sentence? But that would duplicate responsibilities. Perhaps we can omit About the role to avoid thin section. Thus we will output sections: Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay. We need to format:
