Content, Photo & Video Manager
About the Role
The Manager, Content, Photo & Video is a highly creative, culturally plugged-in member of the Marketing team who will bring our brand, food, people, and personality to life through photo and video content that embodies our Let’s Get Loco ethos. This role is for a hands-on creator who can concept, shoot, edit, and turn around culturally relevant content quickly, while also owning larger brand shoots. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social & Activations, you will work closely with the Social Media Manager and creative team.
Equal parts photographer, videographer, editor, storyteller, and creative thinker, you’ll concept and produce content across social, digital, advertising, restaurant, and brand channels—from fast-turn social content to food photography and campaign shoots.
Responsibilities
- Concept, shoot, and edit high-quality photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, digital, paid media, CRM, web, and other brand channels.
- Ideate, organize, shoot, edit, and produce long- and short-form videos, photos, and graphics, creating craveable food photography and video.
- Develop social-first content rooted in trends, culture, entertainment, humor, and real-time conversations.
- Translate marketing briefs and campaign strategies into compelling visual concepts and executions.
- Own the content creation process from concept through production, including shot lists, lighting, shooting, editing, color correction, sound, and final delivery.
- Provide direction when behind the camera, including prompting, pacing, and getting the best takes.
- Capture content at restaurants, events, activations, partnerships, product launches, and other brand moments.
- Partner closely with internal marketing teams, internal departments, and agency teams.
- Help develop and evolve El Pollo Loco’s visual identity and social content style.
- Maintain, along with Manager, Integrated Marketing, an organized library of photo and video assets for use across the organization.
- Manage production equipment and recommend new tools, technology, and techniques that improve the brand’s content capabilities.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high bar for creative quality and brand consistency.
- Support larger productions and collaborate with external photographers, videographers, creators, agencies, and production partners, as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years in photography, videography, content creation, social media creative, or a related field.
- Ability to shoot professional camera content as well as authentic, compelling iPhone/mobile content.
- Proficient in video editing (Premiere/Final Cut, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or After Effects, etc.).
- Excellent iPhone and digital photography skills and in-platform editing, with a keen eye for composition and fast-paced workflows in a consumer environment.
- Sharp instincts for what will land on social, and ability to consistently capture high-quality footage on an iPhone with strong framing, focus, and movement.
- Strong instinct for storytelling and how audiences engage with short-form video, on-brand visuals across multiple platforms, including on-site shoots and product styling.
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback with openness, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working fast, staying organized, and meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail, and experience in adapting content for various social platforms.
- Ability to work well in a team, contributing to a collaborative environment while also being accountable and able to work independently and resourcefully.
- Motivated to take on new initiatives with ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative, low-ego creative who is comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly with strong and clear communication and organization abilities.
- Self-starter who brings ideas to the table and can take projects from “What if we…” to finished content.
Preferred Skills
- Basic food styling or comfort working around commercial kitchens.
- Experience working with talent, influencers, creators, or employees on camera.
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, or emerging AI creative tools.
- Previous QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) experience.
