About the role

The Content Marketing Manager owns the content engine for a technology business, translating complex products, APIs, data workflows, and customer use cases into clear content that attracts, educates, and converts target audiences. The role partners with product marketing, SEO, demand generation, sales, and subject-matter experts to build a measurable content program across the buyer journey. Success means stronger organic visibility, higher-quality engagement, and consistent contribution to pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage an editorial calendar across blog posts, technical guides, customer stories, webinars, email, and sales enablement assets
  • Develop SEO-driven content briefs using tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and GA4; improve rankings through topic research, internal linking, and on-page optimization
  • Translate technical product capabilities, integrations, and industry trends into accurate, accessible content for technical and business audiences
  • Write, edit, and manage production of long-form content, landing pages, case studies, and campaign assets from brief through publication
  • Partner with product marketing, demand generation, design, and sales to align content with personas, product launches, and funnel-stage objectives
  • Measure content performance using GA4, HubSpot or Marketo, CMS reporting, and attribution dashboards; recommend changes based on traffic, engagement, conversion, and pipeline data
  • Manage freelance writers, agencies, and internal contributors while maintaining editorial standards, deadlines, and a consistent brand voice

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of content marketing experience in B2B or B2C technology, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, or a related technical market
  • Demonstrated ability to create content that improves organic traffic, qualified engagement, lead generation, or sales enablement outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field

Skills

  • Strong writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts without losing accuracy
  • Hands-on experience with a CMS such as WordPress or Webflow and marketing analytics tools including GA4, Search Console, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar
  • Working knowledge of SEO strategy, keyword research, content architecture, conversion optimization, and marketing attribution
  • Strong project-management skills with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and external contributors
  • Bonus: experience with technical writing, developer marketing, AI-assisted content workflows, webinar production, or tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Figma, and Salesforce
