About the role
Airtraffic is a video production company with clients in the video game industry. We create short, simple, funny, trendy UGC-style video content for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Most projects are for clients, with some internal content mixed in. View examples of our work.
Responsibilities
- Direct and film short-form video content that feels native to social platforms
- Self-manage preproduction: shot lists, gear lists, props, wardrobe
- Design and build small sets and practical props
- Shoot video (camera, lighting, and audio), often working solo or with one team member
- Direct on-camera talent, including non-actors, to achieve natural performances quickly
- Assist with concept development and scriptwriting tasks
- Keep production gear maintained and organized
- Maintain a consistent creative standard across a high volume of concurrent projects
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of producing UGC-style social video (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
- Understand what stops a scroll, what converts, and what reads as authentic versus an ad
- Comfortable owning a shoot from setup to wrap with or without additional crew
- Proficient with camera, lighting, and audio gear, including troubleshooting on the fly
- Understand timing and gear requirements for small-scale shoots
- Comfortable shooting on anything from an iPhone to an FX9
- Can assemble basic sets using existing furniture and decor
- Direct talent to achieve natural, unpolished performances rather than stiff or scripted ones
- Communicate professionally with contractors, clients, and talent, adapting tone to context
- Passion for video games, including (and especially) mobile games
- Experience using Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, or similar business tools
Nice to have
- Editing experience in Premiere or After Effects
- Comfortable appearing on camera yourself
- Sketching or storyboard skills
- Photography experience
