Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Content Collector & Editor to join our team as a part-time independent contractor. This role is responsible for traveling to client locations across the state to capture high-quality b-roll footage and photography, then editing that raw content into polished, engaging reels for social media. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for visual storytelling, strong technical skills in mobile/DSLR video capture, and proficiency in short-form video editing. This is a project-based, pay-per-project contractor position, perfect for a creative freelancer who enjoys variety, travel, and hands-on content creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to various client locations throughout the state to capture b-roll footage, photos, and video content that reflects each client’s brand and tone
  • Edit raw footage into finished, social-media-ready reels (vertical format for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook)
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager to understand each client’s brand identity, tone of voice, and content goals prior to each shoot
  • Incorporate voiceover recordings provided by our Radio DJs into edited reels, syncing audio with visuals for a cohesive final product
  • Organize and upload all raw footage, photos, and finished reels to designated Google Drive folders by the deadline each month
  • Maintain consistent quality and creative standards across all client projects
  • Manage and care for the provided video kit and any personal equipment used for shoots
  • Communicate proactively about project timelines, scheduling, and any on-location challenges

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience capturing video and photo content, ideally for social media or marketing purposes
  • Working knowledge of video editing techniques and software (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of short-form video best practices (pacing, hooks, captions, trends, Voice Over)
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various client locations across the state
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take creative direction from the Social Media Manager
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively as an independent contractor

Equipment Requirements

  • A smartphone capable of capturing high-quality video and photo content (required)
  • A working computer suitable for video editing (required)
  • Personal video/photo equipment (camera, gimbal, lighting, microphones, etc.) is a plus, but not required
  • A small video kit will be provided by the company to supplement personal, non essential equipment

Work Structure

  • Part-time, flexible schedule based on project assignments
  • Frequent travel to client sites across the state required
  • Reports to and collaborates with the Social Media Manager
  • Coordinates with Radio DJs for voiceover integration
  • All final deliverables (b-roll, photos, and edited reels) submitted via shared Google Drive folder and notified Social Media Manager

How To Apply

Interested candidates should submit a resume along with a portfolio or reel samples demonstrating relevant video capture and editing experience to janet@santefe.com.
