Key Responsibilities
- Wooden Container Assembly: Cut, measure, and assemble lumber to build custom wooden crates to exact specifications.
- Plastic Container Repairs: Repair collapsible, knockdown plastic containers using industry-standard tools and processes.
- Onsite Container & Rack Repairs: Perform repairs on shipping racks and other containers both onsite and in the shop.
- Power Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operate various power tools, including drills, sawzalls, skill saws, miter saws, and table saws.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to transport materials; a forklift license is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred with forklifts, power tools (drill, hand saw, sawzall, etc), and wood working tools (miter saw, chop saw, table saw).
- Experience with power tools, including drills, saws, and other common shop tools.
- Able to read measurements accurately and follow detailed assembly and repair instructions.
- Forklift operation experience or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and precision.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for long periods, and work in a team-oriented environment.
