About the role
The Idaho Forest Products Commission (IFPC) supports forest education and outreach programs throughout Idaho. This role involves developing and delivering K-12 educational resources, coordinating programs and events, and promoting sustainable forestry practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and distribute K-12 forest education materials and resources.
- Coordinate and facilitate IFPC programs and events.
- Collaborate with educators, foresters, and community partners to promote forest education.
- Manage the IFPC website, blog, and newsletter content.
- Support outreach efforts to increase awareness of Idaho’s forests and sustainable forestry practices.
Requirements
- Experience in education, environmental science, forestry, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Idaho for events and outreach.
