About the role
The Patient Access Specialist (PAS) Team Leader supports patients and healthcare providers across the US through Inizio Engage and AstraZeneca. Key responsibilities include understanding patient medication access, providing information and resources, and managing case communications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality and productivity standards for all client projects.
- Manage support requests and deliverables across multiple communication channels.
- Ensure all support requested is captured within the Case Management system.
- Respond to questions as a subject matter expert for the program team.
- Conduct quality call monitoring for the program team.
- Educate healthcare providers and patients on available patient support programs.
- Communicate with payers, pharmacies, and other departments to resolve patient issues.
- Perform in-depth research into patient medication coverage.
- Follow compliance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 1-2 years of healthcare/healthcare reimbursement experience.
- Working knowledge and experience with health insurance and Rx reimbursement.
- Understanding of HIPAA and privacy laws and requirements.
- Experience with adverse event and product quality complaint reporting.
- Compliance with program business rules, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
- Outstanding case management/customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Passionate about learning and sharing that passion.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and exhibit teamwork and collaboration.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow up.
- Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
