Contact Center Associate (Part-Time)

- Hours on weekends and Mondays required
Responsibilities
- Perform telephone recruiting, pre-screening, and scheduling of donors, including rebooking donors following current donations and registering donors at time of presentation for all donation platforms.
- Place outbound calls to current and prospective donors to recruit, pre-screen, and schedule appointments efficiently, maximizing potential products collected.
- Speak respectfully and warmly with donors to ensure their commitment to scheduled appointments.
- Schedule appointments using donor relationship management software.
- Receive inbound calls from donors to schedule appointments or address general concerns, providing superior customer service.
- Handle inbound calls routed from the main automated attendant, responding to inquiries or forwarding calls appropriately.
- Schedule future appointments through direct contact with donors in the donor room and canteen areas post-donation, emphasizing the importance of repeat donations.
- Encourage donors to become regular, more frequent donors by delivering excellent customer service.
- Perform data entry to update donor demographic or preference information accurately within the donor relationship management software.
- Perform donor registration while maintaining confidentiality and complying with BBD SOPs, AABB, and FDA standards.
- Exemplify BBD’s Core Values and meet or exceed customer service expectations.
- This position is considered “essential” during severe weather or emergency operation events.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience making outbound calls in a call center using documentation software.
- Working knowledge to read and interpret medical, technical, regulatory, and quality procedures.
- Basic knowledge of computer software packages such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively at various levels, delivering both positive and negative information to donors and staff to ensure understanding and acceptance.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, solving donor-related and procedural problems as needed.
