About the role

This position is responsible for processing direct centralized loans with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provides knowledge and superior service regarding Consumer Lending processes to branches and support segments via the department ACD line.
  • Works alongside Consumer Lending Sales teams by meeting processing SLAs to achieve a seamless and efficient loan process for direct loan types.
  • Processes and funds all direct loans in a timely manner with a focus on accuracy and efficiency within MeridianLink DL4.
  • Processes and funds all Pledge loans and Secured Visas to validate all funds are pledged properly and without error to eliminate credit union risk.
  • Reviews each application to ensure borrower and collateral meet lending and underwriting guidelines.
  • Validates vehicle insurance documents and payoff documents for accuracy and to remain compliant.
  • Reviews and analyzes vehicle and titling documents to mitigate risk for members and the credit union, requiring proficiency in using ADOT, AZMVD, and other Authorized Third-Party resources, as well as staying current with AZMVD processes and legal updates.
  • Completes Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review within the AZMVD system to confirm ownership, assist with changes of ownership, and calculate registration cost.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of non-processing titling tasks, such as determining lien release questions or issues.
  • Provides overrides for stopping points for front-end users to ensure applications remain compliant and are funded without error.
  • Completes a pre-quality check of each application and title packet to ensure seamless funding and lien perfection while meeting compliance and lending guidelines.
  • Assists with Notary needs within Consumer Lending.
  • Serves as an allied product expert for GAP, Extended Warranties, and Debt Cancellation to validate vehicles meet product requirements prior to funding.
  • Understands Consumer Lending policies, processes, and practices.
  • Maintains professional standards and adheres to Arizona Financial values.
  • Ensures individual and credit union adherence to policies and standard business practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two (2) years of experience in a financial institution or related field in customer service, or one (1) year with Arizona Financial Experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of computers and software applications.
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and use proper grammar in English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, memos, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate verbally on the telephone, speaking to members regarding sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short timeframes.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding when dealing with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to calculate rates, ratios, income, and percentages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience with Consumer Loans.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Hybrid work environment.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to stand or sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, and peripheral vision.
  • The noise level in the work environment is quiet.
  • Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
  • Employees who work from home must have business operational internet to complete work tasks and communicate via video call or chat messaging systems in a dedicated workspace.
