Consumer Loan Officer

About the role

This role is part of a financial institution with $500 million in assets. The Consumer Loan Officer will focus on business development and consumer lending growth, with a monthly production goal of approximately $300,000 in consumer loans. Business will come from both walk-in activity and proactive outreach to members and the community.

Responsibilities

• Generate new consumer loans and deposits
• Participate in consumer underwriting
• Build relationships and increase the credit union's local presence
• Engage in community outreach activities

Requirements

• Strong understanding of consumer credit
• Ability to meet a monthly production goal of approximately $300,000 in consumer loans
• Proactive approach to business development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer lending or related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
