Consumer Loan Closer

About the Role
The Consumer Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing consumer loan documents to ensure accurate and timely loan closings. This role is a critical checkpoint between loan approval and funding, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and consumer expectations. The Closing Coordinator works closely with Underwriters and Relationship Managers to resolve any discrepancies or issues identified in the file in a timely and professional manner. This individual must possess excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-closing file review for quality check and determination that all pre-closing requirements and conditions have been met, including detailed collateral where applicable.
- Prepare and generate loan documents following established processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Coordinate closings with borrowers for electronic closings (DocuSign) or with originating Relationship Managers for in-person closings.
- Perform post-closing file review for quality check to ensure loan documents are executed correctly and any post-closing requirements and conditions have been met.
- Coordinate bookings and fundings with the Loan Operations Department.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of loan documentation.
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as maintenance of service level agreements.
- Work closely and provide support to all affiliated charters to help build strong relationships with customers.
- Other duties as directed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending, loan terms, credit underwriting, and consumer lending regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay
The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.04-$31.25, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
