About the Role

We believe our competitive advantage comes from understanding consumers more deeply than anyone else so that we can offer products and experiences that surprise and delight. The Consumer Strategy Analyst is responsible for gathering and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data across diverse sources—from consumers, markets, academic research, and commercial performance—to develop explanations and models that improve how the organization understands the world. This role is not about simply delivering research, but instead about building and refining the company’s understanding of consumers, brands, and markets so that every strategic decision is grounded in a foundational understanding of how people think, choose, engage, and behave.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research that deepen our understanding of consumers, brands, and markets.
  • Develop foundational understanding of consumer motivations, jobs to be done, decision-making, brand meaning, category dynamics, and market evolution.
  • Continuously gather evidence from consumer interactions, commercial performance, competitive activity, cultural trends, and emerging markets to strengthen our understanding of the business.
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources into compelling and coherent explanations of consumer behavior and market dynamics, identifying broader patterns and opportunities.
  • Identify where new evidence strengthens, challenges, or refines our current understanding.
  • Develop models of thinking that improve the organization’s ability to predict consumer behavior, identify opportunities, and make better strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Innovation, Brand, Marketing, International, and Commercial to frame strategic questions and reduce critical uncertainty.
  • Contribute to the consumer perspective throughout product innovation, positioning, messaging, segmentation, commercialization, and long-term strategy.
  • Help maintain the team’s evolving understanding of consumers, brands, and markets so that learning compounds over time rather than living inside individual projects.
  • Continuously improve how the organization learns, shares knowledge, and makes decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Human Factors, Philosophy or a related field.
  • Approximately 2–4 years of experience solving analytical or strategic problems, including through professional experience, consulting, internships, or academic work.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data to solve complex problems.
  • Strong narrative and communication skills with the ability to elucidate ideas and explain complex concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Excel, Qualtrics, Power BI, Python, R, SQL, and a willingness to quickly learn new tools.
  • Familiarity with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including ethnographies, individual and group interviews.
  • An eagerness to learn, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

About You

You’re fascinated by people and motivated by understanding why they do what they do. You’re more interested in discovering the right answer than proving out a specific theory. You’re not satisfied with observations—you build explanations. You ask why is that true? and what would that predict? You’re constantly connecting ideas, looking for patterns, and building theories that help explain the world. You don’t wait for perfect circumstances. You see constraints as opportunities to exercise creativity, take ownership, and innovate. You’re energized by solving difficult problems and eager to share what you’ve learned and enjoy helping others develop new perspective about consumers, brands, and markets.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care
