Consumer Finance Litigation Associate
Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve. We have an immediate opening for candidates residing and licensed in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio, though we will consider applicants for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link.
About the role
The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit, defending financial services companies in both state and federal courts. The role involves a working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and other federal and state consumer protection statutes.
The ideal candidate will also have experience representing mortgage servicers and/or originators in contested foreclosures, quiet title actions, title disputes, and related claims.
Requirements
- Three to five years of relevant experience preferred
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible
- For the virtual office, The Link, must be licensed in the state in which they reside

Pay
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position is:
- $200,000 - $230,000 in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington, D.C.
- $210,000 - $225,000 in Minnesota and Vermont
- Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data
