Consulting Utility Forester | Oklahoma City, OK
About the role
ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our team. This position is ideal for those with a background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related fields, and with experience in utility vegetation management.
Responsibilities
- Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
- Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews
- Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
- Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
Requirements
- 2 or 4 year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or closely related field OR 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or other related field
- Previous Vegetation management experience preferred
- ISA Arborist certification preferred
- Certified in Microsoft Office Suite
- Competent in GIS integrated data collection software/hardware
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and managing a geographical area for vegetation-related activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
- Multi-tasking and strong time management skills
- Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules

Pay
$20 to $27 an hour, based on experience
Schedule
Flexible schedules available, including nights and weekends as needed
