Consulting Utility Forester

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the health of trees and plants in various settings, including public parks, private properties, and utility corridors. Conducts inspections, applies appropriate treatments, and educates clients on proper care.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trees and plants for signs of disease, pests, and damage.
• Apply pesticides, fertilizers, and other treatments as needed.
• Provide educational workshops and consultations to clients on tree and plant care.
• Document findings and treatment plans in accordance with company standards.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, horticulture, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in tree and plant health care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common tree and plant diseases and pests.
• Experience with pruning, planting, and transplanting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
