About the role
ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our team. This position is ideal for both entry-level and experienced professionals with backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
- Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews
- Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
- Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or related field
- 2- or 4-year degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field preferred
- ISA Certified Arborist certification, TRAQ certification preferred
- Certified in competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and managing a geographical area for vegetation-related activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
- Multi-tasking and strong time management skills
- Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
