About the role

Cambia is seeking a Consulting Research Associate II or Consulting Research Analyst for a hybrid role (3 days/week in office). Candidates must reside within commutable distance of one of our Portland, Medford, Fargo, Burlington, Vancouver, Renton, Boise, Lewiston, Salt Lake City offices.

Responsibilities

  • Build actionable insights and solutions using analytical and statistical methods.
  • Evaluate programs and outcomes to determine performance against stated objectives.
  • Create visual representations and summary reports of findings.
  • Develop meaningful dashboards and presentations.
  • Apply knowledge of state and federal regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Extract, sort, cleanse, aggregate and process data from multiple sources.
  • Work independently and as part of a larger team supporting various internal customer groups.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases, identify business problems and understand desired business outcomes.
  • Complete analysis and apply judgment to derive recommendations for complex challenges and initiatives.
  • Ensure the appropriate identification of root causes through effective use of data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Prepare and present standard and ad-hoc analysis to business partners.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in social science, public health, economics, statistics, actuarial science or equivalent related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Master's degree or PhD preferred.

  • For Consulting Research Analyst: Perform responsibilities above with an increased degree of independence and self-direction. Provide higher level consultation on findings and recommendations. Work and interact across the organization with a variety of business units.

What You Will Do

  • Experience with analytical / statistical programming tools for data extraction and summarization, statistics, visualization and analysis.
  • Ability to develop and modify queries to extract large amounts of data for standard and ad-hoc data requests.
  • Experience with pre-processing of data, such as cleansing, aggregating, sorting, and combining data.
  • Experience or coursework in advanced analytics.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to synthesize analytic insights with business questions, literature, judgment, and policy knowledge.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate or coordinate activities or projects.
  • Assists with training and staff development activities.
  • Applies knowledge of healthcare and interventions to improve member experience and achieve cost containment and other corporate objectives.
  • Designs, develops or oversees acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models.
  • Reviews reports and other deliverables with end customer in mind.

Work Environment

Work primarily performed in corporate and home office environment. Travel may be required, locally or out of state. May be required to work outside of normal hours.

Compensation

  • Consulting Research Associate II: Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho: $76,500.00 – $103,500.00, $72,000.00 – $117,000.00, 10% bonus target.
  • Consulting Research Analyst: Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho: $92,700.00 – $125,400.00, $87,000.00 – $142,000.00, 15% bonus target.
  • North Dakota: $81,679.05-$110,506.95, $72,523-$119,663.
