We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technician to join our dynamic team in the healthcare industry. The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating cutting-edge radiology equipment to capture diagnostic imaging studies for our clients. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Work closely with radiologists and other physicians to determine the most appropriate imaging techniques.
- Prepare patients for radiology procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Analyze images to ensure their clarity and accuracy, identifying any issues that may need further attention.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including details of the procedure, the images taken, and any observations or concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with advances in radiology technology and techniques, participating in professional development activities as necessary.
- Aid in the management of the radiology department, including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiology Technician or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating various radiology equipment, especially X-ray technology.
- Strong knowledge of radiology safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures and put patients at ease.
- Adequate analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to accurately assess radiology images.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A degree in radiology technology from an accredited institution.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
