About the Role

This position provides assistance and input to management, develops and leads large multifunctional development activities, solves complex technical problems, writes complex code for computer systems, and serves as a senior source of expertise. The role may also provide sizing or budget recommendations to management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred

Skills

  • Expertise in software development processes (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Data modeling, design, manipulation, optimization, and tuning
  • Normalized/dimensional data modeling principles for complex business needs
  • Industry technology language development trends
  • Test-driven development and maintenance best practices
  • Expert knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems
  • Strong budgeting and finance skills
  • Development and use of applicable desktop toolsets
  • Leadership of internal and external technology resources for complex business needs
  • Experience with resource models such as Managed Services and Staff Augmentation
  • Industry best practices in external resource development
  • Architectural principles
  • Data manipulation language optimization techniques
  • Design and work with complex data models
  • Proficiency in development languages: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net
  • Project planning, time management, and change management across multiple functional groups
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting for complex project issues
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for diverse audiences, including senior and executive management

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources
  • Provide design input across products
  • Work directly with customers and end users
  • Act as the acknowledged “go-to” person on coding and technical issues
  • Interface with technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
  • Write and review detailed specifications for system components of moderate complexity
  • Complete complex bug fixes
  • Design and work with complex data models
  • Mentor lead software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques
  • All other duties as assigned

Pay

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
