Overview

Starr Management Consulting is the in-house strategy consultancy for Starr and its business entities across the globe. The team reports into the Chief of Staff of the Chairman of Global Insurance, and its mandate is to support the company’s strategic objectives that achieve measurable goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leadership across the enterprise to address the most imperative business matters through collaborative thinking and strategic change.
  • Oversee multiple consulting projects and ensure successful delivery.
  • Directly contribute to project work such as framing hypotheses, conducting research, data collection and analysis, and identifying unique and relevant insights.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal client relationships.
  • Engage in assessment and solution design activities related to AI/process automation and digital modernization in the insurance industry for business transformation.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to team members while advancing team’s best practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in client-facing management consulting / corporate strategy; insurance experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex problems by developing creative and structured solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills: Writing, producing, and presenting deliverables.
  • Program/project management skills, working with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Prominent experience in managing cross-functional programs, operating model redesign efforts, and digital enablement initiatives at large organizations.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as experience with other applicable tools.
