About the Role

The Consulting Actuary leads client engagements, coordinates and completes projects, presents reports, responds to client needs, and provides strategic advice. This role requires an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of defined benefit pension actuarial client service.
• Present and communicate with clients.
• Review monthly utilization to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
• Participate in training programs to develop a deeper understanding of retirement and actuarial concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Actuarial credentials: EA and either ASA or FSA required.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience with a consulting firm.

Skills

• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work on and complete multiple tasks under aggressive timeframes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working both independently and within a team to meet common goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000. Placement within the range will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
