About the role

The ideal physician will help develop an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of interdisciplinary care plans for patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide consultation and liaison services to internal medicine and other specialty departments as needed.
• Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Internal Medicine.
• Experience in hospital-based psychiatry or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Passing scores on all required exams.
