Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry
About the role
The shift pattern for this post is/are 9-5 Mon – Fri & on-call.
This 10-session post is based at Auchinlea Resource Centre and the Mental Health Campus of Stobhill Hospital in the north east of Glasgow.
You would be working alongside other Consultant Psychiatrists, with trainee support, and would play a key role in service development and evaluation.
Responsibilities
You would be involved in assessment and management of patients with mental disorder within the Auchinlea catchment area as well as providing, consultation and training.
Requirements
The post-holder will have, or will achieve, Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
- Candidates must have full GMC Registration and a license to practice.
- Those trained in the UK should have evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to a CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
- Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.

Skills
We are particularly looking for enthusiastic team players with an interest in quality improvement clinical governance and leadership.
