Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry
About the role
The consultant would be joining another full-time consultant, a full-time consultant with management responsibilities and a part-time specialty doctor in the South West Community Team. They would also be joining a 7-session specialty doctor in the South East Community Team.
Responsibilities
- Regular outpatient clinics
- Liaising with sector GPs
- Mental Health Act work including community Compulsory Treatment Orders
- Providing consultant input to the Community Mental Health Team
Requirements
Applications are welcome for the above permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) post based in 1 Cambridge Street House, 5 Cambridge Street, Edinburgh, EH1 2DY 2 Ballenden House, 28/30 Howden Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9HL.
Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration
- A license to practise
- Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
- Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors must have the award before applying for a substantive consultant post
- Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training
