Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle execution of consulting engagements, including scope, schedule, staffing, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator across technical teams and subject matter experts.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and working sessions.
  • Translate complex technical, market, or regulatory topics into clear, actionable insights for client decision-makers.
  • Lead or oversee engagements involving:
    • Power supply planning and portfolio strategy
    • Renewable energy and storage evaluations
    • Resource solicitations and contract support
    • Market pricing, cost-benefit, and risk assessments

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, public policy, or related field. Eight or more years of relevant experience in utility consulting, power markets, or energy advisory services. Master's degree or advanced certification is a plus.
  • Core Skills: Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills, ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously, advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Technical & Industry Knowledge: Experience with power supply planning, utility operations, or energy market analysis, familiarity with renewable energy development, storage technologies, or integrated resource planning (IRP), understanding of regulatory frameworks and market structures affecting utilities.
  • Supervisory & Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience managing project teams and overseeing deliverables, ability to organize workstreams and ensure timely completion of tasks, experience mentoring staff and contributing to team development.

Location & Work Environment

Hybrid work environment with a preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Marietta, GA or Atlanta area. Primarily a sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk, computer use, phone use, and data entry, with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of office materials up to 10-15 pounds. Up to approximately 20% travel may be required depending on client engagements.
