Consultant, Orthopedic Surgeon (Part-Time)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct medical examinations
• Diagnose, prescribe, treat, and perform office-based orthopedic procedures
• Practice within clinical skill and competencies
• Consult with other CHS health care providers
• Provide technical direction to Nurse Practitioners and Nurses
• Cooperate with other clinical and support staff
• Involvement in committees and teams as appropriate

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required
• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school and license to practice medicine or Osteopathic Physician Licensure required
• Licensed in the State of Arizona
• Five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Board eligibility or certification in Orthopedic Surgery
