About the role
The role involves serving as a subject matter expert in the implementation and upgrade of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). Responsibilities include defining client requirements, configuring and tuning the solution, training clients, testing workflows, and resolving issues before go-live. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the financial industry, preferably in consultancy or software vendor settings.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate requirements while providing product expertise and guidance throughout the project.
- Ensure the solution meets the client's business needs and prepares the client for solution ownership and operation after go-live.
- Aid other members of the Professional Services team and proactively develop and share best practices.
- Educate clients on CRIMS functionality and advise on best practices for implementation and operation of Charles River solutions and services.
- Monitor and evaluate client requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions and services.
- Document and communicate product improvements as part of client-specific implementation projects or in response to marketplace trends.
- Contribute to software quality by clearly communicating defects to Technical Support and Product Management.
- Support the defect resolution process by providing clear descriptions of defects and validating the resulting fixes.
- Identify errors and mistakes in documentation and suggest corrections and improvements.
Requirements
- Experience supporting or implementing investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or wealth management firm.
- Experience with order management and compliance solutions is especially valuable.
- Experience with middle-office workflows, security life cycle events, corporate action processing, daily position reconciliation.
- Experience with post-trade workflows, trade confirmation via matching platforms, such as CTM, TradeNeXus, etc., is a plus.
- Business Systems Analyst experience/skillset.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Knowledge of multi-tier technical architectures, messaging systems, and relational database structures.
- A strong record of customer service.
- Strong time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Four (4) year degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- An advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA is a strong plus.

Pay
$70,000 - $118,750 Annual
Schedule
Travel of 20 – 25% is typical but may exceed that at any given year.
