Consultant, Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
About the role
This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates will begin on-site for an initial onboarding period until they are acclimated to the team and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Grow and deliver client-facing occupational health and safety, workplace safety, industrial hygiene, and health and safety compliance services: produce high-quality work, steward client relationships, and identify value-add opportunities.
- Lead and execute occupational health and safety consulting engagements across diverse sectors, supporting regulatory compliance, workplace safety programs, and health and safety management systems in manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, extractives, energy, construction, transportation, telecoms, and services.
- Perform occupational health and safety compliance audits, OSHA compliance reviews, risk assessments, and exposure assessments; implement corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations; and assess worker exposures and recommend effective controls.
- Develop, implement, and improve written safety programs, health and safety policies, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001), including hazard communication, lockout/tagout (LOTO), respiratory protection, confined space, fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), contractor safety, and ergonomics.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to support continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance and compliance assurance.
Requirements
- Degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a closely related discipline, with at least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, OSHA compliance, health and safety audits, safety program development, and demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, worker health protection, and industry best practices.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications, or on path to achieving certification, highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations as well as writing comprehensive technical reports and standards. This also includes strong Microsoft Office skills with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word desired.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines, and traveling to client locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, OSHA compliance, health and safety audits, safety program development, and demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, worker health protection, and industry best practices.
- Education in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a closely related field.
- Desired certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 to $90,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
