About the role
We are seeking a Consultant, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group to join our team. This role is available in several locations including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to solve complex challenges
- Create and deliver quality client deliverables (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Possess strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to interpret compensation and market research
- Work with Life Sciences Practice professionals to transform ideas into visualizations that communicate the output of various Firm assessments and analyses
- Keep up to date with local, national, and international issues that impact our clients
- Support business and product development efforts and other efforts to expand the market presence of the Consulting Group and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences team
- Support and learn about key aspects of the Consulting Group's practice development and other internal operations (including account planning, marketing, recruiting, training, and performance management)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Major in Engineering (preferably Biomedical), English, Finance, Economics, Business, or related course of study (required)
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (required)
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a consulting/professional services environment (required)
- Experience conducting data and financial analyses, valuation, or Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments, preferably within the life sciences industry (required)
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to interpret compensation and market research (required)
- Experience working with/course work focused on the life sciences industry (preferred)
- Prior exposure to working directly with more senior colleagues (preferred)
- Solid working knowledge of how life sciences companies are structured and operate (preferred)
- Foundational knowledge associated with US and global regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS OIG, DOJ, FDA, etc.) and their respective guidelines, policies, standards, practices, requirements, and precedents (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, etc.) (preferred)

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to progress work independently within the context of a highly-collaborative team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong grasp on the principles and execution of graphics-and-text-based communications/storytelling
- Time management and project management skills required to work across multiple client initiatives
- Demonstrated willingness to invest time in developing their own knowledge and competencies
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint, Excel and Visio/other process mapping methodologies and tools)
- Advanced knowledge of pivot tables and complex formulas in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, NESTED IF statements, etc.)

Pay
The salary wage range for Boston is a minimum of $91,000 and a maximum of $116,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The salary wage range for San Francisco is a minimum of $91,000 and a maximum of $116,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The salary wage range for Palo Alto is a minimum of $91,000 and a maximum of $116,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The salary wage range for Los Angeles is a minimum of $85,300 and a maximum of $108,700 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The salary wage range for Washington, D.C. is a minimum of $85,300 and a maximum of $108,700 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The salary wage range for New York is a minimum of $91,000 and a maximum of $116,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
Schedule
This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
