About the role
Executes employer engagement strategy that aligns with the Center’s strategic priorities to advance career development, experience and recruitment opportunities for students. Engagement strategy includes industry research, direct employer outreach, follow-up, and data tracking for the purpose of increasing recruitment opportunities for UF candidates.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for increasing the number of recruiting companies through emails, phone calls and consultations.
- Affirmative action coordinator for the career center.
- Assist in fostering connections between thousands of employers and the UF community.
- Develops and maintains relationships with employers to increase recruitment activity at the University of Florida.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment trends and appropriate career development information.
- Serves as a coach conducting consultations and presentations to aid organizations in developing their recruitment strategy.
- Oversees the employer module of Gator CareerLink and approvals of industry recruitment service requests, including validating new employer accounts, approving job postings, and coordinating interview and employer-hosted-event requests.
- Collaborates with team members to effectively arrange on-campus employer recruitment activities.
- Communicates with and provides employers quality customer service regarding requests.
- Develops regular reports on employer Gator CareerLink activity and communicates relevant recruitment services data and engagement information with the career center team.
- Supports the day-to-day management of traditional recruiting programs to advance industry engagement and strategic industry success outcomes to advance the mission of the career center.
- Day-to-day administrative operations of traditional recruiting programs include the on-campus interview program, information sessions, employer-hosted events, campus career fairs, and job postings.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) within first year of employment.
