As a Consultant, Environmental Engineer / Scientist / Geologist based in Ewing, New Jersey, you’ll play a strategic role in assessing contamination, designing remediation solutions, and guiding clients toward safe, compliant, and sustainable outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate contamination extent, support risk assessments, and analyze remedial alternatives
  • Conduct environmental field investigations, sampling, and site testing
  • Oversee drilling, sampling, and maintenance activities, including subcontractor management
  • Design and optimize remediation systems; prepare work plans, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Compile and assess environmental data using spreadsheets, databases, and GIS
  • Prepare accurate technical reports and presentations for clients
  • Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
  • Participate in team-based projects to deliver exceptional client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 2–3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field
  • Knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations and technical guidance
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with 8-hour refresher
  • Willingness to conduct field work in remote locations and inclement weather
  • Driver's License required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in varied climate conditions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Experience

  • Experience performing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM standards
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and groundwater transport models such as ModFlow 6 or similar

Skills

Strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in relevant software tools is also important.

Pay

The anticipated annual base pay for this position is $74,250–$103,128 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.

Schedule

This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
