About the role

Heartland Consulting Group provides third-party management of retirement plan administration for small and medium-sized businesses. Our staff consultants have an average of over 20 years of industry experience and specialize in merging cutting-edge technology with personalized service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of retirement plans including traditional, SIMPLE, and Safe Harbor 401(k) plans, 403(b)s, Section 457s, profit sharing, money purchase pension, traditional defined benefit pension plans, and cash balanced pensions.
• Offer specialized design management options such as age-weighted formulas, new comparability (crosstested) formulas, and combination plans.
• Provide customizable support to businesses ranging from sole proprietorships to those with hundreds of employees.
• Work with various types of entities including Corporations, Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, Unions, Multiple-Employer Groups, Non-profits, and Governmental Groups.

Requirements

Heartland Consulting Group seeks candidates with a strong background in retirement plan administration and a commitment to providing high-quality service to clients. Experience with multiple retirement plan types and a deep understanding of relevant tax laws are essential.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently are also required.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of retirement plan software, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain confidentiality are also important.
