About the role
AE2S Nexus is seeking highly-motivated team members to add to our team of utility and municipality financial and policy consultants. As financial planning consultants to both large and small public and private utilities, the work completed by this team varies widely. Examples include municipal budget planning support, assistance with funding development and application, rate-design and revenue forecasting, capital improvement and renewal/replacement planning, analysis of capital funding rate impacts, comprehensive reserve planning, regional benchmarking studies, and overall revenue sufficiency and rate projections. Most project assignments include periodic client Progress Meetings and development of a technical memorandum to relay findings and recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Successful team members must be self-motivated, with an aptitude for problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and build strong relationships with public clients in support of project development and delivery
- Further company business development and marketing activities in the region
- Oversee local project management and delivery
- Draft and deliver technical reports, proposals, and presentations
- Collect and perform quantitative data analysis of municipal financial information
- Develop and prepare MS Excel based computer models in support of project analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (engineering, finance, public affairs, or other related field)
- Proven problem-solving skills based on quantitative data analysis
- Ability to work independently on specific assignments
- 10+ years of experience with data analysis and large data sets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives
- Willing to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree (engineering, finance, public affairs, or other related field)
- Experience working in a consulting or public government environment
- History working with team members across broad geographies

Pay
Anticipated Starting Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, etc.)
