Construction Worker

About the role

As an Assistant Carpenter / Installer at Champion Window, you will support the lead installer in the construction of sunrooms, including wall, window, door, support structures, and roof installation, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supports the lead installer in the installation of jobs to maintain a Champion quality job in a timely and safe manner.
• Loads and unloads materials for the job.
• Learns aspects of the lead installer’s responsibilities.
• Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
• Contributes to a positive team environment.
• Safely performs all aspects of the job in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Construction trade school a plus.
• Prior experience in construction and skilled labor involving carpentry, roofing, windows installation, use of a brake as well as hand tools such as utility knife, hammer, deglazing tools, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers.
• Math skills including using a tape measure and angles.
• Detail-oriented.
