In the role of Construction VDC Lead, we'll count on you to: Serve as the onsite liaison between design teams, construction teams, subcontractors, delegated design partners, and field leadershipBe responsible for ensuring digital models support construction execution, constructability, field coordination, and installation requirementsProvide onsite construction support, such as maintaining a regular onsite presence within the project construction trailer(s), participate in construction coordination meetings and field planning sessions, quickly support for construction-related coordination issues, and walk the site to observe construction progressProvide design and construction integration services, such as serving as the primary liaison between the design team and field construction teams, coordinate design changes, RFIs, bulletins, and construction updates, ensure approved changes are reflected within project models, and facilitate communication between design disciplines and field stakeholdersBe responsible for model management and quality control, with activities such as maintaining project model continuity throughout construction, performing BIM model quality reviews and constructability checks, supporting model updates required for construction execution, verifying models accurately represent approved design information, and identifying and resolving model issues impacting constructionFacilitate multi-discipline coordination by coordinating across all design disciplines, reviewing and resolving coordination conflicts, supporting clash resolution efforts and coordination reviews, and verifying discipline interfaces and installation requirementsCoordinate delegated design scopes with specialty contractors, collaborate with the integration of delegated design scope into project models, review impacts of delegated design on constructability and installation, and facilitate communication between delegated designers, subcontractors, and design teams.Provide constructability and installation support by reviewing constructability concerns before installation, verifying equipment access and maintenance clearances are maintained, evaluating installation sequencing impacts, identifying potential field conflicts before work is performed, and supporting efforts to reduce RFIs, rework, and schedule impacts Preferred Qualifications 8 years of hands-on Revit modeling and coordination experience with at least 3 years supporting active construction projectsExperience working directly with subcontractors, superintendents, and field personnelExperience supporting delegated design coordinationExperience with large-scale industrial, mission critical, manufacturing, healthcare, semiconductor, or data center projectsAdvanced Autodesk Revit proficiency and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) experienceNavisworks Manage experienceMulti-discipline model coordination experienceStrong understanding of construction means and methodsUnderstanding of construction sequencing and installation practices.Experience supporting RFI, submittal, and change management processesAbility to evaluate constructability and installation constraintsAbility to independently troubleshoot and modify production models Required Qualifications Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experienceA minimum of 5 years related industry experienceAdvanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructureAdvanced skillset of 3D Coordination toolCompetency of Microsoft Office products and communication toolsAdvanced understanding of engineering or architectural conceptsKnowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specificationsExcellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential What We Believe HDR is our company.
