Location: TX (exact location TBD based on project site assignment). Full-time position requiring relocation to Milam County or Reeves County, TX, for assigned project, with potential future relocations for subsequent projects.

About the role

Construction Turnover Coordinators are part of a multidisciplinary construction team responsible for effectively managing and maintaining document control processes and workflows. This role ensures compliance with site-specific requirements and that the turnover system is conducted in a diligent and organized manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the turnover process under the guidance of the Project General Superintendent.
  • Ensure adherence to CQP-17 & CQP-14 requirements and any Quality Procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support turnover and document-related activities.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both electronic and hard copy documents.
  • Quickly and accurately retrieve documents when needed, ensuring the latest revision is always available.
  • Conduct periodic audits to assess turnover and document control effectiveness.
  • Coordinate document reviews and approvals.
  • Maintain effective communication with construction superintendents, field engineers, sub-contractors, and the commissioning team.
  • Ensure all required construction turnover documents are uploaded to the electronic document archive.
  • Provide training and support for staff on documents, turnover processes, and procedures.
  • Screen construction turnover documentation and work with Quality and Commissioning counterparts to ensure sufficient documentation is provided, including due diligence prior to system turnover.
  • Participate in and lead turnover-related meetings, including documentation and punch list meetings, under the direction of the General Superintendent.
  • Support Construction and Quality teams in developing construction work packages to ensure all required documentation is included before distribution to field teams.
  • Participate in the Gemma process improvement program or lessons learned.
  • Produce daily activity reports as systems are accepted by Commissioning and distribute them to the Project teams.
  • Schedule system walkdowns with Construction and Commissioning teams when systems and documentation are completed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with overseeing system turnover.
  • Previous experience working on power plant, industrial, or renewable energy construction sites is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing workflows and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours per day, if required.
