Construction Trades Assistant

About the role

Kotarides Companies is seeking a Construction Trades Assistant to join our team. We manage a portfolio of over 4,500 apartments and are involved in every stage of property management, including construction and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Willing to learn the principles, methods, tools, and equipment used in the construction trades.
• Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
• Skills in rough/finish carpentry and cabinet installation.
• Drywall finishing and repair, as well as interior/exterior painting.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.
• Ability to read blueprints or follow instructions from supervisors.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, basic geometry, and their applications to construction trades.
• Attention to detail, quality, and cleanliness.
• Ability to work at elevated heights.
• Must be willing to travel within Virginia and North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Previous trades or construction experience is a plus.
• Own hand tools.
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
