About the Role
The Machine Control Technical Sales and Service Specialist collaborates with Territory Managers and Machine Control and Guidance Specialists to assist in merchandising Fabick Cat's Technology products.
Responsibilities
- Manage and control Fabick Wisconsin technology rental and demo fleet inventory.
- Test and assist with the installation of new products.
- Troubleshoot and assist in solving customer equipment problems or failures.
- Manage and distribute loaner inventory.
- Provide hotline phone support.
- Serve as liaison between Cat and Fabick regarding Cat Technology products.
- Play a lead role in integrating Cat's CGC and new product offerings into Fabick Wisconsin's current offerings.
- Assist with customer demonstrations and training.
- Develop and lead Fabick Wisconsin's ongoing and yearly classroom training offerings.
- Assist in the sales process of technology products as needed per Machine Control and Guidance specialists or Territory Managers.
- Perform on-site field support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Level 3 Trimble Certification preferred.
- MHSA Certification preferred.
- 3+ years of related work experience required.
- 5+ years' experience testing and training Trimble or related product required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of Trimble products to diagnose failures, perform repairs, and solve problems on-site or via phone.
- Ability to manage inventory levels within guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to talk or listen.
- Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
