Construction Technician - Part-Time

About the role
We are seeking a Part-Time Construction Technician/Runner to perform on-site daily visits to multiple projects, pick up material samples for delivery to the Materials Testing Lab, and assist in the lab or field as needed. This role requires the ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs, work at construction sites in various weather conditions, and operate a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site visits to multiple construction projects
- Pick up and deliver material samples to the Materials Testing Lab
- Assist in the materials lab and field on various construction projects as needed
- Data entry and typing using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Handle multi-task assignments while commuting 2-3 hours per trip, 1-3 times daily between field and office
Requirements
- Good organization and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on job duties
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (required to operate a company vehicle)
- Ability to work at and maneuver around construction sites in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work night shifts or day shifts as needed
