About the role

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The department consists of 1 Project Coordinator that manages 7 Construction Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Manages $3.6M per budget cycle in Base Capital Projects that consists of miscellaneous construction and facility appearance projects, as well as many BJH Departmental and Washington University funded projects.
  • Performs multiple construction related tasks with minimal instruction and supervision.
  • Provides part-time on-site leadership on all assigned in-house construction projects.
  • Keeps equipment clean and operational.
  • Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control.
  • Adheres to regulatory guidelines.
  • Performs a variety of construction duties related to carpentry, flooring, painting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning assignments and projects.
  • Affords assistance in preparing estimates and other related documentation for project approval.
  • Affords assistance in estimating the types and amounts of materials required to complete assignments.
  • Affords assistance in scheduling and coordination of all aspects of assigned projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years Supervisor Experience
